Methacrylate Adhesive
These plastic adhesives chemically 'weld' pieces together. You can use it in place of a melt-welding approach (i.e. the Mini Weld 5500ht on the prior page). For leaking fittings, think of these products as the ULTIMATE silicon caulk. These adhesives can be applied around the joint like a caulk, but, that's IT! It's now truly one piece. In other words, these 'adhesives' are more than a glue. These two-part adhesives create a molecular bond approaching the strength of a hot weld repair.
The Devcon methacrylate adhesive mixing nozzle will deliver 1:1 epoxy mix. The Devcon 14300 methacrylate adhesive has superior peel and impact resistance and is perfect for ABS PVC, SMC, composites polyesters, polycarbonate, strenics, PET, fiberglass wood, concrete, ceramic and metal.
Unlike plastic welding, you don't need to identify the plastic's type prior to using these adhesives. Their chemicals bond any type of plastics mentioned above.
